Vacation miss turned style miss:

Heyyy, fellow “Steppers!” It’s Brian again, and I have a kinda sad, but kinda cool story.

I’m here to chat about this outfit idea I missed out on – and the hilarious reason why.

Believe it or not, this is somewhat a depressing, yet informative blog that offers a cool outfit idea you can exploit.

You may ask, what makes it depressing?  Well, because I bought the darn outfit “AFTER” I came off vacation!

This should’ve been by men’s ultimate vacation outfit!

One thing I’ve noticed about the fashion world is that you just never know when you’re going to come across that perfect outfit for that perfect occasion.

Just recently I visited beautiful, sunny Miramar Beach Florida.

I obviously had the time of my life.  This has got to be the best vacation that I’ve ever gone on.

This includes the short time it took to get there from my home location.

The nice smooth scenic route led me 5 hours up the highway to  The beautiful Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa.

I submitted this photo to the Hilton Sandestin Instagram page and they thought to leave me this really cool comment.

The sun never really came out on this day, but something happened on this mystifying afternoon.

It appeared for a hair of a second, and I caught it.

Luckily I had one of those waterproof cases for your phone, so I had it with me in the water.

Anyway, The food and drinks.  The swimming pool that we never left, and the overall ambiance of the hotel and grounds were just an experience that I’ll forever cherish.

Poolside Concussion Chronicles:

Now, let’s rewind to day 2 – a day that almost gifted me a grade 2 concussion.

Yes, you heard that right. Overcast turned into thunder, and we got herded into the inside pool.

Sounds safe, right? Not when you add chlorine-filled murky water and my attempt at an underwater stunt.

Head vs. pool wall – you can guess who won.

As I mentioned, on the second day, there was a slight continuous overcast that turned into lightning and thunder.

So as a precaution for safety, obviously everyone was ordered to go to the inside pool if we wanted to continue swimming.

So the fun continued until I noticed that the water as I mentioned was a little murky with chlorine.

It wasn’t a problem until I tried something that involved underwater clear visibility.

I had become water-logged and was ready to get out, I thought I would swim underwater from one side to the other and then exit.

Well, I swam a little bit longer than I should’ve and banged my head against the pool wall.

My visibility underwater was more distorted than I thought.  Enter grade 2 concussion protocol. 😂

The Outfit That Never Was:

Now, enough about that madness. Let’s talk about the outfit that never made it to the beach scene, but can be yours if you like.

Smooth olive and tan vibes, a bamboo-ish flavor, and a dominant touch of olive. This was the vacation fit that got away.

I always thought that a smooth olive and tan exemplifies that island look.  Kind of a bamboo-type flavor, with a dominant overtone of olive.

This should’ve been my men’s ultimate vacation outfit for Miramar Beach.  No questions asked.

Let’s dive a little deeper into how this outfit would’ve blended in perfectly on day 2 after a full day of swimming.

Let’s start with the buttery soft olive tee shirt.  This shirt is by Eastern Mountain Sports, and I’m not sure you can still find it.

I linked a great olive substitute shirt for you to stay with the color scheme.  You know I always “got your back.”

The gold-tannish lettering on the back is what sets everything in order with the remainder of the outfit.

Next to last is the main attraction.  Introducing the Burton men’s Bridgewater Boardshorts.  A sun-fun specialty.

Let me be the first to tell you how silky smooth the fabric is on these shorts.

These shorts instantly became the clear-cut winner in my personal shorts inventory.

It’s almost as if you’re wearing swim trunks, but you’re not.  It’s hard to explain.

What struck me, even more, was the dominant bamboo-ish tan, plus beautiful olive accents.  The drip is lit.

These shorts just lay across your legs, so be prepared for her to not be able to keep her hands off of you. 😜

Now let’s move down to the shoes.  Can you believe these olive green K-swiss that I bought? I just hate that they are no longer available.

So obviously I had to find some more shoes for you to exude this outfit.

When I saw these, I knew these would be the shoes that would put the icing on the cake.

Not only does the olive set it off, but the traditional Adidas toed design will always be a no-brainer.

Where to Rock This Fit:

• Picture yourself poolside chillin’,
• A night out with the Giorgio Armani shades
• Seaside strolls carrying the shoes in your hand (you know, kinda like the movies)  
• Waiting on your Uber in the luxury hotel lobby.
• Just use your imagination, and make sure you own the moment.

I Almost forgot the hat!

Carhartt olive green baseball hat matching the Adidas gives it a cherry on top.

This hat was the perfect color combination with that impeccable Carhartt quality that they’ve been known to demonstrate through the decades.

Notice how I made it match with the shoes, and kept it uniform with the rest of the tan and olive accents.

Just an altogether nice vacation outfit.  I also felt it wouldn’t be justified if I didn’t at least have a nice scent for you to wear to cap off the vacation.

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Lamar by Kajal.  I don’t know how to thoroughly explain how awesome this unisex scent is.

I’ve always been of the mindset to mix colognes I would wear throughout the years with perfect complimenting lotions.

That way the scent can take on a life of its own without smelling like the next guy.  This was no easy feat.

It took tons of trial and error with certain scents and lotions.

Sometimes I scored, and most times I didn’t.  That is until now.

When I came across this dynamic scent, I absolutely lost it.

So from reading all of the reviews and listening to both men and women on YouTube give their honest opinions, I thought to give it a try.

Wow!!!  This is clear-cut the champion and the King! 

You will absolutely fall in love with this scent.

Both men and women.  It is unisex, and this is what scores this scent well above its competition.

I’ll copy this right off of their site to best explain your experience.

A scent created to resemble the beauty of a golden sun setting on the horizon. Distant clouds reflect rich rays of color – hues of red, streaks of yellow, and shimmers of gold.  The scent of LAMAR evokes fragrant notes of rose and jasmine that float on a Mediterranean breeze. A magnificent scent. 

That description sounds just like the awesome picture I captured at the beach.

Also, might I add, that it displays the perfect pineapple, vanilla, and cedar experience that evolves throughout the day on your skin.

As you can see the bottom pic of the collage is the 10ml size that I purchased, just to sample, and just like that, this is my scent forever.

I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Conclusion: Outfit Regrets and Future Fashion:

Okay, enough of my outfit gibberish.

Fellas, grab this as your go-to vacation look.

Ladies, surprise your man – because we all know they need help picking out outfits!

I hope and pray this gives you guys a good foundational outfit to at least use on one of your vacation days.

Also, ladies, this might be a cool outfit to surprise him with to make at least one of those vacation days extra special.
